First this case will ONLY FIT a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7" (Only.)
The OtterBox name is synonymous with excellent protection for your electronic devices. This Defender Series for the S2 tablet is no different. It provides superior protection against dust, scratches and accidental drops. The Defender Series case is built from a "high-impact polycarbonate shell, durable silicone slipcover, and a built-in screen protector."
Everything you need to protect your S2 is in the box. It took less than two minutes (thanks to frustration free packaging), to open the box, remove the case, and place my tablet snuggly inside. While I haven't thrown it on the ground to test it, my granddaughter did drop it on the pavement getting out of the car. The result was a small, little ding on the corner of the case (that no one would notice if not pointed out). No scratch, Crack or ding on the tablet itself. I decided then and there I am buying a case like this for the Samsung A9.7" I bought her for Christmas. No way am I giving her the tablet without a heavy duty case to protect it.
While using my tablet without the case it was extremely thin, very light weight and the touch screen response was light and instantaneous. Once inside the case, it feels different and it took a couple of days to get used to. Of course, it's heavier with the case and...thicker, bulkier in hand. It was like going from holding a single subject notebook, to a three subject notebook. The added weight and bulk, after a few days I didn't even notice anymore. The screen protector does change the way it feels. But here again, using it a few days and it feels "normal." Also I kept adjusting the 'touch sensitivity' on my tablet until I found what is comfortable.
Sum it up: I like this Defender case. OtterBox has delivered a well-built product that does what they say. Yes, like all OtterBox products this case is a bit pricey. But worth it to protect an even pricier tablet.
